Nancy Chambers

Nancy is is largely self taught, and paints still life in a pared back style, with contemporary elegance.

She became a full time artist in 2020, after a 30 year career in the charities sector.

Nancy began exhibiting in 2019 and since then has exhibited at the RWA, Affordable Art Fairs in Battersea and Hampstead, Fresh Art Fair, Manchester Art Fair and Edinburgh Art Fair. She shows her paintings in galleries throughout the UK, and sells to collectors internationally.

Nancy aims to capture an essence rather than a literal interpretation of each subject. She enjoys exploring new methods of mark making. To paint a dandelion, for instance, she might use needles to capture their distinctive petals whereas poppies require an entirely different technique, using ‘palette knives’ made from recycled plastic.
