A burst of bright summer colour, against a deep turquoise background.
Nicky Chubb used acrylic paint, ink, and collage to create this happy, bright summer bouquet, featuring cheerful sunflowers. This piece was made in France, working outside in the sunshine in May 2022. Finished with a soft varnish to enhance the textures.
The edges of the painting are the same colour as the background, it measures 60x60cm, and it is strung with cord and ready to hang unframed.
