Martha Bogert
Martha Bogert’s fine art ceramics frequently investigate themes of gender politics and technology.
With degrees in fine arts, art education, and computer science from School of Visual Arts and NYU | Tisch ITP; her work explores the impact of AI on art and creativity, especially in relation to the struggles women face in the art world. Many women start their careers later in life and are often overlooked. Inspired by Rococo’s ornamental beauty, she uses AI-generated text to address themes like aging, misogyny, and feminism.
By taking imperfect AI prose and transforming it into beautiful, ornate objects, Martha challenges the idea that femininity in art is shallow; turning discomfort and flaws into powerful expressions of resilience and defiance.
